Few ways that CBD can benefit your furry best friend!

Cannabis wellness is excellent for cats, dogs, or animals with an endocannabinoid system — any mammal specifically. I’m sure you’ve heard the horror stories of accidental THC dosing of your pet while you were out but have no fear. CBD is the non-psychoactive cousin to THC and only helps your pet rather than harms! Below are four ways that CBD can benefit your four-legged pal.

Stimulate Appetite

There are many psychological and medical reasons that a dog may eat very little or not eat at all, but just like us, cannabis can give them the munchies, and for appetite-challenged animals, this might be the solution. If your dog is not eating normally, you should have this checked out by your veterinarian. If your vet believes it is appropriate, you can try CBD oil to get your dog eating again.

Calm Anxiety

Anxiety is an issue for all of us, including your pup or feline familiar. You might have a pet that gets scared and nervous when left alone, terrified of the yearly war zone on the 4th of July, or an annoying new face in their house. In this case, CBD oil can be beneficial in calming your dog's nerves and reducing their anxiety.

Relieve Pain

CBD oil yields high results when treating inflammation in both pets and people. Inflammation of the joints or other areas of your aging pet’s body can be painful and limit their activities. CBD oil may be able to offer your dog relief,  helping your dog move freely again without pain by reducing inflammation in their hips, joints, and back.

Reduce Disease

CBD oil may be beneficial in reducing the chances of your pet developing certain diseases. These include problems like heart disease and cancer. If you are concerned about these illnesses in your dog, consult your vet and try using CBD oil to help prevent them from occurring.

You and your pet have a lot more in common than you think. CBD helps your best friend in many of the same ways it helps you. Sometimes with a change in diet and the addition of CBD, your pet can experience a new stress, pain, and disease-free life!  We always want to encourage you to consult your vet when introducing anything new into your pet’s routine.
